AlarmClock Description
Alarms are one of those small thing you can hardly imagine living without. They can be used to schedule events, or simply to help you get out of bed in those lazy mornings. Regardless of the case, these also come under the form of computer applications, and AlarmClock is a suitable example in this regard.
Can be used on the go
One particular advantage here is the lack of a setup process, which means you can always carry it around on a thumb drive to set up alarms regardless of the computer you’re using. More than that, it doesn’t leave any traces on the target PC, mostly because registry entries are not modified to ensure functionality.
All it has to offer is presented in a pretty compact, but intuitive window. By default, the alarm is not set as active, letting you take a look over the set of features, and how these can be tweaked to your advantage. Once set, it resides in the tray area, only to show a prompt at the specified time, with a value field which acts as a snooze button.
Multiple alarm modes to configure
There are several modes to configure an alarm, with a couple of them relying on a time you specify, namely at a given hour, or after a particular amount of minutes. You can choose to have the alarm repeat each day, and there’s also the option to make it run with Windows so you’re not caught off-guard.
Additionally, an alarm can be set when a specific window either opens or closes, and you need to specify the window title, or select it from a list of active ones. There’s no associated ring sound by default, but you can choose one from your computer. Instead, there’s the possibility to have the PC turned off.
In conclusion
To sum it up, AlarmClock is a lightweight, but powerful alarm clock you can use to remind you of various events, or even to help you out of bed. The set of features is flexible and intuitive enough to help you set a comfortable alarm in a matter of seconds.
