Application Paths Editor Description

There’s a high chance that you use the Windows Run command quite often, as it is a reliable and quick way to launch programs on your computer. You simply need to write the name of the target app. In this regard, Application Paths Editor comes with the means to help you view, edit, and create new commands for the Run tool.

Clear view of existing items

On the bright side of things, you can carry the application with you wherever you go, because there’s no setup involved to make it work. However, you do need to check whether or not the target computer is fitted with .NET Framework to ensure proper functionality. Some registry entries are modified in the process, but this doesn’t put the target PC at risk, because changes represent either tags or paths to the new commands.
As far as the visual design goes, the application makes it quite easy for both beginners and experienced individuals to get the hang of things. A large table shows entries by name, executable path, as well as optional path for dependency of file. Sadly, you can’t filter according to column headers, or search for particular entries, which need to be manually located in this case.

Add program paths and custom command names

Editing and adding new items are two activities performed in a similar manner, or at least in the same fields. Selecting an entry from the list makes it possible to change either its name or path fields, while hitting the create button updates the entry on the spot.
Adding a new item is simply done by filling in the couple of fields by yourself, whereas the path field is fitted with a browse dialog for easy selection of the executable file. A cool thing is that the command name can be anything, just to make it easy to launch it from the Run tool.

In conclusion

Taking everything into consideration, we can state that Application Paths Editor is a reliable application which can keep your desktop a clean space, by letting you run just about any program or video game directly from the Run tool. It’s incredibly easy to use, while portability lets you have it at hand, regardless of the computer you’re using.
