Audio Playlist Maker Description
Audio Playlist Maker is a program with a pretty self-explanatory name - it allows you to create playlists from audio files. The app supports plenty of files types, including MP3, WMA, OGG, M4A, CDA, WAV and RAM.
The interface of the application is plain and uncomplicated. Audio tracks can be imported into the playlist by using the file browser or folder view, since the 'drag and drop' function is not supported.
Furthermore, you can add URLs. Unfortunately, you cannot select multiple items to import via the file browser.
The playlist shows the location of each item. So, all you have to do is specify the output directory and filename, in order to save the playlist with the M3U format.
On top of that, you can add files to a folder, preview the tracks, view file properties, remove an item from the queue, test the playlist, and minimize Audio Playlist Maker to the system tray area.
The program uses a low-to-moderate amount of CPU and system memory, has a good response time and quickly creates a playlist. We have not come across any problems during our tests; Audio Playlist Maker did not freeze, crash or pop up error dialogs. First-time users may quickly learn how to work with this app. Unfortunately, no recent updates have been made.
