Caruban Security Windows

Caruban Security Windows is designed to protect your computer against malicious files stored on it or against Web threats. It can scan your computer to detect threats and repair them, plus it allows you to view the quarantine list.

Configure the program then let it run in the background

Whether it monitors your system to detect threats in real time or it conducts a prolonged disk scan, Caruban Security Windows can run in the background, so it does not bother you. It can display notifications on the screen when a scan is finished, indicating the number of unsafe files it detected.
The program features a simplistic interface that allows you to access its functions and configure settings without much effort. The main menu allows you to turn several functions on/off such as the Windows, Web + Child, Process Protection.

Advanced scanning options

Caruban Security Windows allows you to start a Full System scan, Process, Quick or Custom scanning tasks.
The Custom Scan allows you to manually select the folders you wish to analyze. The program uses several anti-virus databases to check the files, including MD5, or heuristic algorithms.
Additional options include shutting the PC down or restarting it after the scan is finished, automatically repair/remove the detected threats or removing junk files. A USB Guard tool can detect threats on removable drives.
You can also access its functions from the context menu prompted by right-clicking the icon in the system tray.

Advantages and disadvantages

Caruban Security Windows features several system protection functions that you can use to customize the PC security according to your needs. A disadvantage of the program is that the anti-virus algorithms may sometimes find threats where there are none or ignore perilous files on the other hand. The website blocker is not always effective, plus the overall functionality of the program is slow and may hinder other applications such as Windows Explorer.
