Character Map Pro

Character Map Pro is a lightweight Windows application whose purpose is to help users access a wide range of characters for different font styles.
Since this is a portable program, it is important to mention that it doesn’t leave any traces in the Windows Registry.
You can copy it on any USB flash drive or other devices, and take it with you whenever you need to work with various characters on the breeze, without having to go through installation steps.
Character Map Pro gives you the possibility to select between various font styles (e.g. Calibri, DejaVu Sans, Ebrima, Segoe Script, Times New Roman, Verdana, GreekS).
Basically, it proves to be extremely easy to work with this tool, as the program automatically reveals the characters as soon as you select the desired font.
Other important features worth mentioning are represented by the possibility to copy the font name and selected characters to the clipboard, and paste them into other third-party utilities, as well as view the current character in a dedicated pane.
Last but not least, you can switch to a full screen mode for a better focus on your work, and display the characters using the italic or bold type.
Since it doesn’t require much computer knowledge to work with this utility, even less experienced users can configure the dedicated parameters on the breeze.
During our testing we have noticed that Character Map Pro carries out a task quickly, and no errors showed up throughout the entire process. It doesn’t eat up a lot of CPU and memory, so the performance of the computer is not affected.
