Cryptographic Encryptor

Cryptographic Encryptor simplifies the entire process of encrypting text to hide it from pry eyes, thanks to an intuitive interface and options. Evidently, it is backed by a decryption feature.
The installation procedure does not take a long time. Users should be careful when going through these steps, though, as Cryptographic Encryptor offers to download and install third-party apps that it does not need to function correctly.
It also offers to create an Explorer shell extension for encrypting files on the spot. Those who want to bypass the installer and run the app from a USB flash disk may resort to its portable counterpart, Cryptographic Encryptor Portable.
The main application window holds two panels dedicated to writing/pasting the text for encryption or decryption, and for viewing results, respectively. All you have to do is specify a key, which will be later required for decryption.
Cryptographic Encryptor contains a wide range of encryption algorithms to choose from, such as AES 128, 192 and 256 bit, Blowfish, Twofish and Serpent. It supports hotkeys for various commands (e.g. swap files or text, clear entered data) and can disable password confirmation.
In addition, users may pick the default algorithm and source (input data as text or file), UI language, visual style, style of tab sheet and tabs location, as well as establish a name pattern for encrypted and decrypted files (file extension, suffix, prefix, date). Options can be restored to their default values.
We haven't come across any issues in our tests. The app rapidly performs encryption and decryption, without triggering Windows to hang, crash or pop up errors. CPU and RAM usage is low. With its only downside being a slightly outdated interface, Cryptographic Encryptor is a reliable application for encrypting and decrypting data using a passkey.
