Folder Crypt

Folder Crypt is a straightforward security program that creates a secure environment for your folders and files. It targets all types of users, regardless of their skill level.
The interface of the application is represented by a standard frame with an intuitive layout, where you can import files and folders using the "drag and drop" method. You can add multiple items to the list and lock them at the same time.
You can type a password and confirm it, select the algorithm (e.g. Triple DES 128-bit, Blowfish 448-bit), as well as adjust the compression level.
In addition, you can set the app to lock all subdirectories recursively, as well as to either keep or shred the original items. Changes are immediately applied to the selected items.
Other options of Folder Crypt let you view log details and copy them to the Clipboard, generate random passwords based on the characters length and hash algorithm, pick the default encryption method, enable metadata and switch to a different language for the GUI.
But you may also customize the interface (e.g. hide the toolbar and startup tips), choose the shredding method, enable error reporting, integrate Folder Crypt into the Explorer context menu, and more.
Folder Crypt uses a low-to-moderate quantity of CPU and system memory, has a good response time to commands and carries out tasks rapidly and without triggering errors. We have not come across any problems in our evaluation. Thanks to its intuitive layout yet advanced options, Folder Crypt should satisfy the entire audience.
