FREE English-German Translator is a user-friendly and efficient application whose main function is to quickly provide you with an accurate translation of English texts to German, or the other way around.
The interface features two panels, positioned one on top of the other corresponding to the source and target texts, along with a series of buttons on the right side of the window, each having its own function : 'Open', 'Clear', 'Save', 'Copy' or 'Print'.
The program requires an Internet connection in order to function, otherwise it fails to retrieve any results as it does not store information itself, but it employs online translation engines to get the job done for you as fast as possible. For this you can use a direct connection, or you can configure a proxy, by entering all the required details.
FREE English-German Translator is bidirectional, meaning it will convert texts from English into German, as well as from German into English. All you need to do is enter the source text into the upper panel, choose the translation direction, then press the 'Translate' button and within seconds, you will have your result.
The application features several methods of inputting the phrases you want to translate. As such, you can either type them manually, load them from a TXT file or paste it from clipboard. Additionally, FREE English-German Translator can optionally add the text in the source language automatically into its main window. Similarly, once the tool has converted your text, you can save it to a HTML file or copy it to clipboard, for it to be pasted into another window.
