Each topic can be opened or closed to view the thumbnails and clicking on a picture thumbnail instantly shows a picture preview or adds it to a collection of pictures to create a slide show or collage. In addition, photos can be organized and searched by user specified keywords.
The Deluxe Edition also distributes photos or slide shows by burning them onto CD-ROM. It creates multi-picture collages and slide shows by simply dragging photos onto the presentation page and clicking to apply frames, special effects, dialog balloons, music, narration and other annotations. FxFoto Deluxe provides advanced effects and inch/cm printer page layouts, plus Color, Stamp and Undo brush tools.

The Media Edition includes all FxFoto features. It creates slide show movies in web HTML Flash and DVD-compatible MPEG formats. The Media Edition saves MPEG-4, MPEG-2, AVI, WMV, Flash SWF, MHT, and PDF files.
