GMapTool Description

GMapTool is a software solution that enables users to join and split maps (from their Garmin device), as well as add particular information to it, and view logs.

Minimalistic GUI

You come across a pretty simple and well-organized interface, as it consists of a few buttons, a pane in which to display selected information and several tabs, which enable you to easily access all the available options. As a result, it becomes pretty obvious that all types of users can learn how to handle it without encountering any kind of difficulties.

Multiple options you can tweak

This program lets you upload maps in formats such as IMG, TYP and UNL, with the help of a file browser, while it is also possible to add an entire directory with just a click of the button.
You can easily join two or more files together, specify the output directory and name, as well as add a new unlock code or remove all of them. Splitting items is also possible, while also compiling a preview map and choosing a location on the HDD where to save the resulted maps.
Last but not least, a search function is incorporated, logs can be viewed in a dedicated panel and they can also be saved to a custom output directory with ease.

Bottom line

To conclude, GMapTool is a pretty efficient piece of software when it comes to joining and splitting Garmin maps, which is suitable to all types of users, including those less experienced. The response time is good and the system’s performance is not going to be affected in any way.
