ISO Producer

If you're still searching for an easy to use application to create an ISO image using your very own CDs, you should really give ISO Producer a shot.
This is a very light application created with a single goal in mind: allow users to create ISO files quick and easy, without assaulting them with tons of unnecessary features.
And that's exactly what ISO Producer does. A very simple and minimal interface that displays the current CD, along with three simple buttons that should do the job for you. You can thus reload the CD, configure the plugin or simply start making the ISO.
If you're an advanced user and you wish to get into the advanced side of the app, just click on the “Configure plugin” button to access a new dimension.
This time, beginners may have a hard time trying to figure out how to set up the application and, since there's no help file, it's a very good idea to let things exactly the way they are.
You can customize the interface, drive, read and catching mode, but also subchannel reading and PPF patches. Unfortunately, there's not much information on these settings and the only moment when ISO Producer lends you a hand is when choosing the reading mode.
There's a so-called “Try auto-detection” tool, but it didn't work during our test, so you may have to search the Internet for more information.
The ISO file is created in just a few minutes, while ISO Producer remains quite friendly with computer resources.
All in all, ISO Producer may be a handy tool, but it still needs many improvements in key areas, as well as a help file to assist users throughout the whole procedure.
