Letter Blast

Letter Blast is an easy-to-use game designed to assist pre-k and kindergarten children with the process of learning to identify upper and lower-case letters. Gameplay follows the form of the classic asteroids game. Six letters embedded within asteroids are visible on the screen and one at a time is selected at random and announced as the target. The child receives points for shooting the correct letter and loses a spacecraft if the wrong letter is hit. As letters are hit new upper and lower-case letters are chosen at random to replace them. UFOs also appear occasionally to make the play environment more stimulating and to allow the child to hear the target letter again.
