PageNest Free Edition

PageNest Free Edition a freeware Windows application that allows you to download websites to your computer and browse them offline.
The market is already full of similar software solutions, but PageNest Free Edition sets itself apart thanks to an intuitive interface that makes everything quite easy to use.
With a clean and well-organized interface, it takes just a few clicks to start a new download, regardless if you wish to copy just a single page or the whole website.
You can of course customize the range, which can be either a single page, a whole site or up to a depth of a user-defined number of pages, with separate options that concern other servers hosting the pages.
Additionally, PageNest Free Edition lets you specify the file types to download, which can be text, graphics, multimedia and others, but also input the file size and set a minimum and maximum value.
Once you start a new download, PageNest Free Edition gives you the power to control the number of threads, which is a great feature for those you want to benefit the most from their high-speed Internet connection, but also see downloading sites, parsing, errors and logs.
The options menu also enables you to pick the number of retries and timeouts, but also firewall authentication, dial protection and default root folder for saving websites.
PageNest Free Edition runs fine on all Windows versions, but we've noticed some problems on Windows 7 during our testing, as the app got unresponsive every once in a while.
Overall, PageNest Free Edition does what it says, while offering an intuitive and very easy to use interface. Plus, it downloads files quite fast and doesn't slow down the system.
