Password Generator

Password Generator is a small-sized application that can easily come up with secure passwords to help you protect your files, folders, documents, pictures, and anything else deemed as important. It enables you to select the level of difficulty and character set.

Prerequisites and interface

The whole program's wrapped in a single .exe file that you can save to a custom location on the disk and just double-click to launch the tool. Another option is to keep it stored on a USB flash drive, in order to seamlessly run it on any PC. Just keep in mind that you must have installed, otherwise it won't work.
On the other hand, it doesn't change your system registry settings, create new files on the drive without your approval, or need DLL to work properly. As for the GUI, Password Generator takes a straightforward approach, adopting a small panel that reveals all options put at your disposal.

Set the password difficulty and charset

The password difficulty is represented by the number of characters you want to include in each key, ranging from very easy (4 characters) to impossible (19-30 characters).
Meanwhile, the charset consists of the type of characters to put in the password, such as lowercase and uppercase letters, symbols, and numbers.
The new password is generated with one click after configuring both settings. It's instantly displayed in the main window and can be copied to the Clipboard with one click. The status shows its length.

Evaluation and conclusion

We haven't come across any issues in our tests, as it didn't freeze, crash or prompt error messages. It had minimal impact on the overall performance of the machine, running on a low quantity of CPU and RAM.
Too bad that it doesn't integrate support for creating multiple passwords at the same time. Otherwise, Password Generator is speedy and gets the job done.
