Add several PDF files to the operation

Before the application can be taken for a spin, it’s best to make sure that .NET Framework is installed on your PC. On the other hand, chances are it’s already there because it’s one of the default features in modern Windows iterations.
Needless to say that the main input type is represented by PDF documents. You need to use the built-in browse dialog to make the selection, because drag and drop is not a supported operation. What’s more, you can’t select multiple files with the dialog, so it might take some time to properly build your list of items.

Good, but far from being a pro

Every file you add gets displayed in an organized table with column headers for file name, pages, size, and operation status. Note that the way they’re in the table dictates page orders. Arranging them can be done by sorting column headers, or using dedicated controls. Sadly, these can’t be dragged to suitable spots on the list.
Before bundling all files together in a large document, you also need to provide a save location. Merging doesn’t usually take a lot of time. Unfortunately, you can’t select custom pages from large documents, add password protection, or restrict content management like printing, copying text or pictures, and more.

Taking everything into consideration, we can state that PDFMerge manages to live up to expectations as a fast method of bundling up several PDF documents into a larger one. Sadly, there’s not a lot of freedom when it comes to content management, or pages to use in the build process.
