Portable HTML Encrypter

Portable HTML Encrypter is a simple-to-use application designed to encrypt the source code of your HTML webpages, in order to keep your information secured when transmitting it over an unsecured network, such as a public hotspot.
Before proceeding any further, you should know that it doesn't have a decryption feature. However, it creates new files and leaves the original ones untouched, so you don't have to manually create backups prior to using this app.

No installation required

As its name suggests, there is no setup pack involved. Therefore, you can save the downloaded executable file in a preferred location on the disk or copy it to a USB flash drive, in order to directly run it on any PC without previous installers or DLLs. It doesn't modify Windows registry settings.

Simple interface for HTML file encryption

It's packed in a plain and simple interface represented by a small window that shows all options available. It doesn't put emphasis on looks but it's easy to navigate.
You can use the file browser to locate the original HTML file, as well as click a button to start the encryption operation. This task doesn't take long, depending on the size of the file.
Portable HTML Encrypter automatically creates the new file in the same location as the source, so you can launch it in your web browser or HTML editor to examine results. There are no other notable settings provided by this app. Unfortunately, it doesn't support batch processing, which means that you can encrypt only one file at a time.

Evaluation and conclusion

It carried out tasks swiftly in our tests while remaining light on system resources consumption, using low CPU and RAM. However, Portable HTML Encrypter is too simple and doesn't contain any advanced options.
