SipCLI Description
SipCLI is a Command Line application that was designed to help users make SIP-based calls by providing them with a series of relevant functions.
The SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) that corresponds to this application is based on RFC 3261. It enables users to play wave files to a remote SIPÂ endpoint, but it has some conditions: it has to be encoded with G.711 A-Law and Mu-Law, as other codecs are not supported for playback.
Users can set the application to read a text message by appending the "-t" argument when loading the application and also send one by using the "-m" argument in the same manner. SipCLI makes use of Microsoft TTSÂ (Talk-To-Speech) engine to generate audio output from the text.
The app features support for ENUM (also based on RFC 3621), which helps users collect the number of digits from dialled endpoints. It can also execute custom scenarios, supports 4 logging levels and can be set to terminate after a user specified timeout.
Given that it lacks a GUI (Graphic User Interface), but offers users a CLIÂ (Command Line Interface), launching the executable by double-clicking will trigger no effect. Instead, users must summon it from a CMD session.
