sloper Description
Sound can be manipulated in a variety of ways if input devices are connected to a computer fitted with the right set of tools. Effects are required to process sound, with a variety of existing hosts for plugins. For stutter, and timestretch effects, sloper provides visual feedback, and real time configuration of controls.
The plugin first needs to be integrated in a supported target application, just like VSTHost. Connected to input and output devices, it starts processing sound right away. The configuration panel is where all control sliders are found, with a preview area which captures, and shows waveform sound, while also providing visual support for all effect adjustments.
Two types of effects can be obtained, such as Stutter and pseudo Timestretch, and this is done by combining a set of sliders. General delay options make it easy to set input gain, feedback, decay, and dry/wet mixture.
The effect itself is handled through loop bits. With the help of the preview area, multiple loop sections can be created, as they can be viewed directly in the waveform area. Buffersize determines the length of the entire loop sequence, while mastersize can split the whole loop sequence into multiple chunks, depending on incoming signal.
With a loopsize slider, chunks created with the mastersize slider can be further filtered, for longer cycles, but less loops. Last but not least, loop reading is done at a specific pace. Numerical values provide these details, while the loopmove slider is responsible for read speed.System requirementsVST host
