Unfortunately, you need to use the main window every time you wish to switch to a different desktop, because there’s no support for hotkey commands for an easier approach. The window always sits in the tray area, and there is no option to send it to the tray area, or at least bring it back up at the press of a combination of keys.
The application provides a maximum of four different virtual desktops. Shortcuts on the desktop are always the same, but each desktop has its own window layout. However, closing the application doesn’t restore all active sessions to the single desktop, but running the application again restores each window in its corresponding slot.

Navigation doesn’t provide the necessary comfort for an easy switch, while windows only remain active in the main desktop when the program is closed.
