WebPassBooster Description
WebPassBooster is an easy-to-use software application which enables you to generate random passwords based on user-defined phrases. It comes packed with a few standard settings that should be easy to figure out by users, whether they have previous experience with this type of tools or not.
Rapid setup and simple interface
The installation procedure does not take a long time to finish. As far as the interface is concerned, WebPassBooster is wrapped in a small window with a plain and simple structure that clearly looks outdated.
All you have to do is enter a phrase to generate the password from, select the number of characters, show the phrase or hide it from pry eyes, activate a virtual keyboard in case you suspect the computer to be hijacked by keyloggers, as well as include or exclude symbols in the key.
The new password is generated with the click of a button and copied to the Clipboard, in order to further use it in email accounts, wireless network connections and various applications.
Evaluation and conclusion
The tool has minimal impact on computer performance, since it runs on low CPU and RAM. It did not hang, crash or pop up error messages in our tests. However, it failed to generate passwords in several case, minimizing to the taskbar instead. Nevertheless, users are invited to test WebPassBooster for themselves to find out whether it's the best password generator for them or not.
