Darsana

Darsana is a multiplayer game that pitches you in a war that is waged between noble knights and the undead scourge. It’s a fast-paced first-person shooter that implements RPG elements and has you fighting other players in large arenas using a multitude of weapons and magic abilities.

Simple gameplay that focuses on man to man combat

Darsana can be played in two modes, Team Deathmatch and Destroy the God, each one taking place in one of the six provided maps. In a first-person perspective, the player is given the choice to join the knights or the undead group and then has to march into battle to slay the adversary.
Initially you are given a spiked club but you can purchase one of many other weapons such as, daggers, broadswords, battle axes, longbows or crossbows. Since this is a war between the human race and the undead, magic is also available and you can purchase staffs that harness the power of fire and lightning.
Controls are those from a FPS and once the arena starts, the slaughter starts. You and your enemies will be thrusting weapons at each other and trying to parry what you can. There is no crosshair to benefit from so your bow and arrow as well as casting skills will need to be really good.

March chaotically at the enemy or devise a good strategy

Darsana is meant to only be played online and you can individually do your best to defeat as many opponents as you can or come up with a good defense or assault strategy to overcome the odds as a team. Being able to carry all three types of weapons, melee, ranged and magic, each player can be a versatile warrior and tactics can be changed instantly depending on the scenario.
Visually, Darsana is rather outdated but even so it doesn’t look bad. For those who like a good fantasy-medieval times FPS, it’s surely going to work out for the best. The atmosphere is right and gameplay flows from start to finish.

A bit left behind but worth a shot

Development to Darsana seems to have come to a complete halt in the last years. However, you can create a public server and invite some friends over for some good clean team fights. The game is completely playable and who knows, you might really like it.
