Motocross FMX

Motocross FMX is a Flash powered game in which you get to race a dirt bike across a motocross track and perform several tricks for points. Get a big enough score and you get to unlock a mysterious motorcycle that looks more like a hog, the animal kind.

Gameplay that’s simple but the game isn’t all that easy

In Motocross FMX you have to ride the off-road motorcycle across several tracks and in six laps, perform as many complicated tricks as you can to get the biggest score. Each trick is worth a number of points and the more you manage to squeeze into your jumps, the better.
Performing them is very easy because all you have to do is press a single key on your keyboard for each one of the seven tricks that are available. Depending on the air you get, you will be able to only do certain tricks but you can risk some more elaborate ones, although, if you crash, there are no points in it for you.

A game that’s kind of flat if you look into the details

First thing’s first, off-road motorcycles don't sound anything like they do in the game and that’s kind of bothering. Secondly, the amount of speed you get with that bike is mostly underwhelming and makes it very difficult to pull off some big jumps.
That’s not necessarily a bad thing but it can be frustrating to see that you rarely get do more than one trick because there simply isn’t enough time. Also, bike controls are oftenly kind of sluggish and you’ll find that no matter how well you do the trick, you just won’t stick the landing.

Casual entertainment and just that

On a closing note, Motocross FMX is a game that’s worth playing if you have no other option available. It’s a decent game but considering the years that have passed since its release, better options are available.
