360 Document Protector Description
Ransomware attacks are frivolous means of having your files under siege, except that it is not you that restricts access to said documents but an intruder intent on blackmailing you.
While various security products have been developed to help you fight against such threats, the fact is that it still happens for malware to sneak in and encrypt your files, but a program such as 360 Document Protector could repair the damage.
What the application can do is automatically back up all the files created, opened, or edited following its installation. It is worth noting that only in case of a revealed infection is the content backed up.
Adjusting the file protection rules is possible in the “Settings†menu, which means selecting the file formats you want to be backed up can be effortlessly done, as is the case of indicating the backup and restore paths, and setting a file size limit. What’s more, an expiry date for your protected documents can also be specified so that you do not keep useless material on your system.
Apart from that, the program is capable of decrypting and restoring files marred by malicious instances, being able to scan any folder in order to check their integrity. Nevertheless, a warning is issued by the very developers, who want users to be aware that successful decryption is not always guaranteed.
