3D Rain Screensaver Description
Computer personalization options range from simple backgrounds, icons, to complex makeovers of visual elements and windows. Screensavers are also one method, and can keep the screen filled with neat animations in idle time. To enrich your collection, you can take 3D Rain Screensaver for a spin.
Automatically becomes your default screensaver
The setup process is over before you realize, and once it’s done, the system screen saver settings panel shows up. Nothing is really different, except that 3D Rain Screensaver is selected as the default screensaver.
Real-time preview is offered in the small dedicated section, and you can hit the “preview†button to see how it behaves on the entire screen. Just be sure not to interact with your computer during the preview, otherwise you’re taken back to the settings panel.
Tweak rain behavior and add effects
However, this screensaver comes with its own set of configurations. Simulation starts when the panel is up so you can preview all changes in real time and in fullscreen mode. Note that you can’t really interact with anything in the background while the screensaver custom settings panel is up.
Even though the screensaver simulates rainfall, there’s quite the variety in terms of customization. On the one hand, it’s possible to adjust the density of raindrops, as well as the speed at which they fall. You can also adjust the size of raindrops, but there’s no option for random behavior.
Additionally, a rainbow can be set to show up in time, while a different option adds a wet effect to the desktop, filling up as drops fall. Sadly, there’s no option to leave rain falling over the desktop during regular computer use, so you need to cease all activities.
A few last words
To sum up, 3D Rain Screensaver doesn’t come with an extended set of features, but the few customization options it packs makes it worth the while. Adding rainbow and wet effects are sure to help you find the desktop pretty soaked after some idle time.
