Access2Csv

Access2Csv is a lightweight and straightforward application that enables you to extract tables from Microsoft Access files (.mdb format) and save them as CSV files. It doesn't need Access to work properly and can be easily configured even by users inexperienced with database tools.
The interface is user-friendly, represented by a horizontal frame which shows all options put at your disposal. There are only four steps you have to follow to carry out a task in no time.

How it works

After using the file browser to locate and select an Access database file, the utility automatically identifies its tables and lets you pick one from a drop-down list. Once you've established the destination folder, you can click a button to start the extraction operation.
The new file is named after the table and can be opened in a text editor with CSV support to examine results. There are no other notable options available. Unfortunately, Access2Csv is not capable of extracting all tables from a database to save them as multiple CSV files.

No setup required, besides .NET Framework

The app's not packed in a setup kit, so you can save the downloaded file to a custom directory on the disk and just double-click it to launch. Otherwise, you can keep it stored on a USB flash drive to be able to run it on any computer with as little effort as possible.
Just keep in mind that you must have .NET Framework installed, since it was developed with the aid of this platform. It doesn't create files on the disk without your permission or change registry settings.

Evaluation and conclusion

To sum it up, Access2Csv supplies you with a speedy and effective solution for extracting tables from MS Access databases and saving them as CSV files. CPU and RAM usage was minimal in our tests.
