Having a dictionary around can be quite useful, especially when you’re dealing with a language you’re not familiar with or that’s not completely known to you. Advanced Dictionary is a nice tool that was designed to translate between English and Romanian.
The app has a simple interface, which makes figuring out how to work with this tool extremely easy.
The dictionary includes over 50,000 definitions, which means that it’s very likely that the program can be of help, regardless of the word you’re looking for.
The program can translate in both ways between English and Romanian and switching between the two modes is extremely easy and only requires that you click on the tab in the interface. Alternatively, the program comes with keyboard shortcuts to help you make the switch without using the mouse.
Once you start filling up a word the program starts looking for the translation. It provides the words complete with details regarding the grammar, domain, meaning and translation. Some phrases are also available for some of the words, complete with translation.
The Romanian diacritical character display correctly only if the font settings is set to Central European from the Windows interface.
The bottom line is that Advanced Dictionary is a great tool if you work with English and Romanian words. Less experienced users should find the program easy to handle, thanks to the intuitive interface.
