Advanced Modem Data Logger is an application that enables you to manage the process of sending and receiving data from your computer and any given device using a modem. The program works with various types of modems that can support AT commands or that have TAPI drivers.
Once you added the information about the gadgets initialization line, you can schedule various tasks. To put it simply, you can establish a connection to the device on a daily basis for a pre-defined duration by scheduling a task to break the connection. As you would expect from an app in this category, you can specify the number of attempts it should perform along with the pauses between them.
Moreover, to avoid inconveniences such as ending the connection when you are in the middle of something, you can set the program to ask for confirmation before terminating the task.
You can keep a record of the data sent and received while the connection was active that you can store on your computer. The tool allows you to specify the limit size of the file, how it should be saved, the time when it should be created and the info you want to appear in the log.
In the eventuality that the log file cannot be created due to various reasons, then you can configure the app to display a message and stop, write a temporary file and it can append or just ignore the incident.
