Advanced PDF to IMAGE converter Description

  • Can save converted files in various formats - JPG, BMP, GIF, PNG: To obtain the smallest file size use GIF (Graphics Interchange Format). GIF is a common image format used to present various images on web pages. If you work with vector graphics, pictures, solid color blocks and images with sharp borders between colors, GIF is your perfect choice.
  • GIF's are compressed files with no information lost during compression. Decompressed files look absolutely like the original images. One color in the GIF palette can be set to represent transparency. GIFs have 8 bits per pixel resolution and are limited to 256 colors.
  • To save true color images without loss of quality use PNG (Portable Network Graphics). The PNG graphics format has many of the great features of GIF, while providing an extended set of capabilities. PNG files are compressed without information loss.
  • PNG files may have resolutions of 8, 24 or 48 bits per pixel. PNG files may also accumulate base values of surrounding pixels, which defines the way those pixels affect surrounding colors. PNG is a far more sophisticated format than GIF.
  • It is capable of creating images that display the maximum image approximation possible over a network connection. PNG files may contain gamma and color correction information, since images may be presented absolutely differently.
  • The major benefit of the PNG format is its ability to store full color images without loss of quality.
  • To obtain an optimal balance of file size and image quality, use JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group). JPEG is a compression method that works well with natural images, such as scanned or digital photos.
  • Some part of the information is lost during compression, but a human eye is not capable of seeing the difference between original image and compressed one.
  • JPEG features a resolution of 24 bits per pixel, which means it is capable of displaying images with more than 16 million colors. Of course, full scale JPEG format has only 8 bits per pixel. JPEGs do not support transparency and animation.
  • The JPEG compression does not work well with vector graphics, pictures, solid color blocks and images with sharp borders. JPEG is a compression method more than a file format.
  • The JPEG File Interchange Format (JFIF) is a file format used for storing and converting images compressed using the JPEG method. JFIF files are presented in web browsers with .JPG extensions.
  • To save image for further processing, use BMP. BMP is a standard MS Windows graphics format used for storing independent images. It is capable of resolutions of 1, 4, 8, 15, 24, 32 or 64 bits per pixel defined in the file header. Usually BMP files with a resolution of 24 bits per pixel is used.
  • Accepts user defined compression ratio for images in JPG format: The Compression ratio is customizable when using JPEG. However, one should remember that using higher compression ratio (the resulting file is smaller) results in significant loss of quality. A compression ratio of 20:1 results in an image that cannot be distinguished from the original.
  • Supports password-protected PDF files: PDF to JPG converter allows you specify your PDF documents password prior to converting password-protected PDF files to IMAGE.
  • Batch conversion of PDF documents: For on-the-fly conversion of 100 or more PDF files at a time. The PDF to JPG converter creates a separate folder, containing HTML files and images for each of PDF documents you convert.
