Adventure Maker is a comprehensive application whose purpose is to help you create point-and-click games and multimedia software for Windows, iPhone, PSP and iPod touch without having to possess scripting or programming skills.

User interface and supported file formats

The layout looks clean and simple, and you can follow a built-in tutorial in order to understand the program’s capabilities when it comes to creating a game using a series of frames. The tool works with the following file formats: JPEG, BMP, GIF, WMF and EMF.

Create a new project

Tips are displayed throughout the creation process of a new project so you can easily get an idea where to get started with and how to define a new game.
Adventure Maker gives you the possibility to assign a name to your project. A project is used for storing all the details and configuration settings about a game.
What’s more, you are allowed to select the platform that you want to run the software on (Windows, PSP, iPhone/iPod touch with portrait or landscape orientation) and import ‘frames’ (‘scenes’ or ‘slides’) which are actually pictures containing hotspots and other objects.

Built-in frames editor

Adventure Maker integrates a handy frame editor which enables you to add hotspots and other objects to your frame. In order to generate a hotspot you can simply draw a rectangle on the frame background. Plus, you can change the properties of a hotspot and add user-defined text.
You can make the app go to another frame, go back to the last visited frame or display a full screen transition when you click on the hotspot, alter the mouse cursor when you hover over the hotspot, and pick the hotspot appearance (transparent, picture or looping video).
Other tweaking options that can be applied to the hotspot help you define various actions when you click on it (e.g. play a video, display a message, play or stop the sound, add an item to the inventory).

Personalize your games with the aid of dialogues and special effects

Adventure Maker lets you build up a dialogue between the player and one or more characters with the aid of questions, create special effects in order to simulate smoke or other phenomena, as well as test/preview how the created frames look like.
