AgataSoft PingMaster Pro is a utility for network monitoring and diagnosis.
The software is designed for monitoring the availability of hosts connected to the LAN or Internet (computers, servers, routers, switches), and alerting administrators in case of failures.
The program can monitor network devices by surveying them by ICMP protocol.
Monitoring the availability of network devices:
The program queries the device through ICMP requests (ping). If there is no answer, the program notifies the user that the device is not responding.
For devices that do not support ICMP protocol or those with closed firewalls, it is possible to check their availability through SNMP protocol.
To monitor web servers or individual websites that are closed to ICMP requests, checking for availability through HTTP request header can be used.
The application can retrieve data about the traffic on the network interfaces of devices selected and display them in the form of a graph, with the ability to display the selected period of time.
The program can monitor the traffic of network devices and report if the traffic falls below acceptable values.
Monitoring of ICMP delays:
The program saves ICMP delay data and displays them graphically.
It keeps track of delayed responses on ICMP protocol and notifies the user when the selected value is exceeded.
The software can notify the user when there are problems with the availability of devices - visually, through audible alarm, by e-mail and through ICQ.
