The design of Alarm Viewer is quite clear, the three main categories are listed in bright green and are immediately visible. There is a specific area for Fatal, Error and Warning, with additional tools and options, with a toolbar and menus also available.
Users can choose to change the display to a live update of the system and how it is currently performing, or the archived list of all previous errors. There is extra text on the main window, listing the date, time and error severity, providing users with extra detail about the error reports, including the previous ones.

There are several additional settings in Alarm Viewer, from how the information is displayed, to what systems can be accessed via the program. Users can enable hidden systems to be included in the available areas to view reports from, or users can manually select different areas to include.
