ArduoRenamer (formerly UltimateReNamerJG)

ArduoRenamer is a lightweight Windows freebie that allows you to rename one or multiple files effortlessly.
As compared to the full-featured file renaming products currently on the market, ArduoRenamer is much easier to use, especially thanks to its user-friendly approach that mixes a plain and simple GUI with well-developed options.
The interface for example is especially focused on the selected files that are displayed in the main window together with details such as size, new name and path. The “new name” field is updated once you press the “Preview” button and allows you to see the name of the processed items based on your settings.
You can add as many files as you want and it doesn't even matter the format, ArduoRenamer can take care of them all. There are several tasks to be performed, such as insert, delete, replace, change extensions or case and incremental.
Obviously, each of these comes with a different settings pack, so when you insert new characters for example, you can do it at the beginning, at the end, at a specific position or in a random one, before or after a specific character.
The renaming process doesn't take more than a few seconds, but this can vary depending on the number of files selected by the user.
The good thing however is that ArduoRenamer works smoothly on all Windows versions and administrator privileges are not required on Windows 7 workstations.
Overall, ArduoRenamer does its job very well and it can really replace much more complex products that comprise tons of unnecessary features. It works very fast and it also includes a help manual to provide assistance on the built-in tools.
