AS-Gradient

Handling colors on a computer might seem like a walk in the park, since there are complex picking palettes even in default Windows edit tools. However, you might need to create a special type of background, but also reveal the color codes used in the process, and it is for this task that AS-Gradient was built.

Can be used on the go

First of all, the application doesn’t take you through a setup process to put all it has to offer at your disposal. As such, it’s easy to carry around on a thumb drive in case you need or want to use on other computers. Moreover, system registry entries are not modified in the process, so the health status of the target PC is not affected.
A compact window shows up on launch. It displays all functions needed to define, and save the gradient picture, with no additional prompts except for the save dialog. By the end of the session, the application generates a simple background picture with gradient colors based on your size specifications and ingredients.

Generate gradient wallpapers in a couple of seconds

Default input values are specified in the form of size specifications for the output picture. A couple of fields need to be filled in with numerical values for width and height in pixels. Orientation is all up to you. The second requirement is represented by the two color tones to combine. You can either write them as HEX values, or pick through dedicated palettes.
Last but not least, the application is able to generate the picture under formats like BMP and PNG. Sadly, gradient direction can either be horizontally or vertically applied. Hitting save brings up one last dialog to select the desired destination.

All things considered, we can state that AS-Gradient not only can create gradient pictures of various size specifications, but can also generate the appropriate color code in hexadecimal format. It’s lightweight, easy to use, and definitely worth a try.
