Ascii/Hex

Ascii/Hex is a tiny and simple-to-use program that allows you to convert ASCII to hexadecimal code and vice versa, as the name implies. It can be handled by all types of users, regardless of their experience level with software apps.
After a brief installation procedure, you are greeted by a small window with an uncomplicated layout, representing Ascii/Hex's interface.
The “what you see is what you get” concept clearly applies to this tool, as there are no other options available, aside from the ones displayed in the main frame. Once you specify the conversion mode, you can input the string of characters and click the Process button to get instant results.
Unfortunately, you cannot copy ASCII or hex code to the Clipboard or export it to a plain text document (TXT). But we must keep in mind the fact that Ascii/Hex has not been updated for a very long time.
All you can do is use the standard Copy and Paste functions, which are available through the context menu. In addition, it is possible to clear the fields as well as change font settings (e.g. name, type, size, color).
The straightforward application runs on a very low quantity of CPU and system memory, so it shouldn't interfere with the runtime of other active processes. It has a good response time and rapidly displays results after a conversion task. We have not come across any problems throughout our evaluation, as Ascii/Hex did not hang, crash or pop up error dialogs.
