AshSofDev Currency Converter

AshSofDev Currency Converter is a lightweight piece of kit you can use to perform conversions between various types of currency available worldwide, such as the US Dollar, Russian Rouble, British Pound, Hong Kong Dollar, and Swedish Krona.

Requirements and setup

It obtains the latest exchange rate from a website, so you must have an active Internet connection. Besides this, the tool offers to download and install .NET Framework, since it cannot work without this software framework. You can decline the offer if you already have it on your computer, though.
As far as the GUI is concerned, AshSofDev Currency Converter adopts a small panel with a clear-cut interface, showing two dropdown menus for selecting the source and output currency.

Get the exchange rate and perform conversions

You can start by retrieving the current exchange rate from the website, displayed with four decimals. In the following step, it's possible to enter the amount of money and click a button to carry out the conversion instantly.
Results reveal both the source and output modes of currency, in addition to the target number, which has only two decimals (estimated according to the exchange rate). There's also a "Load" button available in the interface, but we couldn't figure out what it does (clicking it didn't trigger anything).
Unfortunately, the software utility doesn't implement features for displaying converted rates in multiple types of currency at the same time. There's no button for copying the result, but it can be selected and copied via Ctrl+C or by opening the right-click menu.

Modest and easy-to-use currency converter

All in all, AshSofDev Currency Converter doesn't bring anything new to the table. It doesn't have comprehensive set of options and depends on .NET Framework, but it offers a faster alternative for performing currency conversions than exploring the Internet.
