ASUS PC Diagnostics is a comprehensive tool designed to retrieve system information from key areas of your computer. It supports only ASUS systems, as the name implies.
After a brief installation procedure that does not require special input from the user, you are welcomed by clean interface with a well-defined layout.
System details revolve around the OS, CPU, network device, battery, memory, motherboard, display system, storage and audio devices.
In addition, you can perform automatic tests on the CMOS, CPU, RTC, USB and PCI(E), together with interaction tests on the memory, storage, network, audio, keyboard and mouse, monitor, camera and video. You can select as many items as you want to run multiple tests simultaneously.
Each aforementioned area comes with individual options that you can configure. For instance, when it comes to the system memory, you can perform either a speed test (multi-thread, cache enabled, pages locked) and patterns test. Last but not least, ASUS PC Diagnostics allows you to run a stress benchmark on the CPU, memory and video module.
ASUS PC Diagnostics requires a moderate-to-high quantity of CPU and system memory, has a good response time and takes a reasonable amount of time to finish tests. No error dialogs have been shown in our evaluation and the app did not hang or crash. Thanks to its intuitive layout yet rich features, ASUS PC Diagnostics should satisfy the entire audience, especially power users.
