Aure RTF Editor is a lightweight and portable piece of software that allows you to edit Rich Text Files (RTF format), as the name implies. It addresses all types of users, even the ones with less or no experience in such apps.
Since installation is not a prerequisite, you can drop the program files anywhere on the hard drive to run the executable immediately.
Otherwise, you can save Aure RTF Editor to a USB flash drive or similar storage unit, and run it on any computer. Therefore, you can keep the app in your pocket whenever you're on the move.
More importantly, the Windows Registry section does not receive new entries, and files are not left behind on the hard drive after program removal.
The interface of the application is based on a standard window with a simple layout, where you can open RTF documents by using either the file browser or "drag and drop" method.
Basically, you can edit the text as you would in a standard word processing tool, such as Notepad. It is possible to undo your actions, as well as to cut, copy and paste text.  Plus, you can select the formatting mode between subscript, superscript and normal, together with the font, front and back color. Unfortunately, there are no other options available through this app.
Aure RTF Editor barely uses CPU and system memory, so it doesn't burden the computer's overall performance. It has a good response time and works smoothly, without hanging, crashing or popping up error dialogs. We haven not come across any difficulties throughout our testing. Thanks to its intuitive layout and overall simplicity, first-time users can quickly learn how to work with Aure RTF Editor.
