AVI Splitter

As the title of this program implies, AVI Splitter allows you to cut video files with the AVI format in multiple parts.
The interface of the application is very plain and simple to use, since you have limited options at your disposal.
Videos can be imported by using the file browser only, because the "drag and drop" method is not supported (and neither is batch processing).
So, you can select the split mode between "2 segments" and "more than 2 segments equally", specify the output directory and initiate the cutting process.
The first splitting mode lets you split the AVI file into exactly two parts. You can establish their size by moving a cursor and by verifying the output size of each piece. The second split method allows you to specify the number of parts.
The simple-to-use program runs on a very low amount of system resources, includes a comprehensive help file with snapshots (if you have no idea how to get started) and quickly finishes a task without freezing, crashing or displaying errors.
The image and sound quality is preserved at an excellent quality. However, you cannot view the output size of the parts (in "2 segments" mode) if you're using Windows 7. It works perfectly fine on XP, though. All in all, AVI Splitter doesn't come with any extraordinary features but we recommend it to all users who are looking for a straightforward program that is low-demanding when it comes to CPU.
