Avira Support Collector is an easy-to-use application that gathers information about your computer's software configuration to quickly send reports to Avira's tech support department, in order to figure out the best scenario to fix your system when it was attacked by malware.

Simple interface and options

It's wrapped in a user-friendly interface made from a small window that shows all options put at your disposal. The computer scanning operation is automatically performed after initializing the task, which may take a very long time, depending on the complexity of your hard disk.
Once it's over, you can enter contact information to send to Avira, namely your name, company, email address, call number and mode (default, extended, malware). There are no other noteworthy features provided by this utility.

No installation required

Avira Support Collector is packed in a single executable file that can be saved on the desktop or another preferred location on the computer, or stored on a USB flash drive to keep it on you whenever you're on the move and seamlessly collect the info of any machine with Avira installed. It doesn't make any changes to the Windows registry, create files on the drive, or need libraries or other components to run.

Evaluation and conclusion

It didn't put a strain on the workstation's performance in our tests, thanks to the fact that it needed a low amount of CPU and memory to function normally. No error dialogs popped up and it didn't hang or crash. It remained stable throughout its entire runtime. However, system scans took a very long time.
All in all, Avira Support Collector delivers a convenient method for collecting details about your computer to send to Avira technicians, which can be processed to pinpoint errors and provide solutions necessary for restoring the PC to its normal state.
