B3 Retail Lite is an approachable point of sale application for Windows that facilitates a user-friendly working environment for managing an inventory. It comes loaded with several handy options and configuration settings that should be easy to figure out.

Ad-supported tool

The setup procedure does not take a long time to finish. However, because it is ad-supported, B3 Retail Lite offers to download and install third-party components that it doesn't actually need to work properly. These offers can be declined to make a clean installation, though.

Clear-cut interface

The interface is based on a full-screen window that contains several buttons for viewing and editing details regarding the POS, adjustments, suppliers, products, stocktake, and end of day statistics.
You can get started by filling out business, tax and other kinds of details, such as the company's postal and delivery address, city, state, country, phone number, tax number and rates, receipt messages, stocktake data, together with attached hardware (cash drawer, barcode reader).

Manage point of sale information

So, you can start a new sale by entering the barcode to view the item's name, description, price, quantity, tax, and total. It is possible to edit these properties, indicate details for suppliers and products, as well as to calculate stocktake data.
In addition, you can generate reports for out-of-stock, negative stock, deleted or active products, supplier, customer and user lists, item movement (inwards goods, item adjustments or sales, stocktake), product and sales analysis, along with end of day reports. Evaluation and conclusion

We have not encountered any unpleasant surprises in our tests as far as stability is concerned, thanks to the fact that B3 Retail Lite did not hang, crash or display error notifications. It executes commands swiftly and consumes a light amount of CPU and memory, so it shouldn't hamper computer performance.
Taking everything into account, it seems that B3 Retail Lite features many handy options and settings for efficiently managing an inventory system. On the other hand, it has not been updated for a while, and the overall package seems a bit expensive.
