Backup Again Description
It’s always a good idea to have an extra copy of important files, because you never know what can happen in the edit process, or even to the storage drive of interest. On the bright side of things, specialized applications like Backup Again offer the necessary tools to automate the process of backing up important data.
Add one or more directories to the process
A cool thing about it is that you don’t even have to go through a setup process to make it work, so you can run it from the moment download is done. This also means that it’s possible to carry it on a thumb drive wherever you go to use on other PCs. Just make sure that the target computer is fitted with .NET Framework.
The application works with content of entire folders, which you can easily load through a drag and drop operation, or through the built-in browse dialog. Multiple directories can be included in the process. Note, however, the subfolders are automatically included in the process, and there’s no option to exclude them.
All files backed up into an archive
The whole operation delivers an archive containing all of your files, which is a good thing, considering malicious files can’t infiltrate them, thus keeping files safe to a custom location, either on your computer, or a removable storage device.
Paying a visit to the settings tab makes it possible to configure several filters. These refer to the last modified date and time, whether or not to append these values to the backup file name, show all info inside the log file if enabled, and more. The process starts at the press of a button, and you can choose to have it automatically triggered every time you reach the desktop.
A few last words
Taking everything into consideration, we can state that Backup Again is a nifty tool which can gather data from important parts of your computer and bundle them all together in a safe archive. This can be performed automatically every time you log into Windows to minimize effort on your behalf.
