Bandwidth Meter Pro

Bandwidth Meter Pro is an app which allows you to monitor bandwidth usage as well as to create reports. It can be useful to individuals who frequently download large bits of information, thus hogging the network bandwidth.
Once the tool is installed, it places an icon in the system tray area and shows all the current connections, along with the rates scale, upload and numeric rate.
Bandwidth Meter Pro comes with a wide range of configuration options which are available through the context menu. For example, you can generate reports on the current day, week, month, year, or the last several days, and export them to the TXT, CSV or HTML format.
In addition, you can select the adapter to test (e.g. all connections or dial-up connections), use a stopwatch, record traffic rates and save them to file for further analysis, reset the rates, as well as customize the viewing mode (e.g. show title, IP address, graph, time, time grid).
From the Options screen, you can make Bandwidth Meter Pro stay on top of other windows, automatically run at system boot and to start minimized. But you can also alter the date format and select the first day of the week, set graph and text colors, as well as enable notifications, just to name a few.
The program runs on a very low amount of CPU and system memory, has a good response time and includes user documentation. We have not come across any issues during our evaluation; Bandwidth Meter Pro did not hang, crash or display error dialogs. All in all, Bandwidth Meter Pro should satisfy all experienced users who are looking for a feature-packed bandwidth monitoring tool.
