Biosversion Description
Biosversion is a small software application whose purpose is to help you gather general information about BIOS and hardware components of your system. It can be deployed on Windows Vista, 7, 2008, and 2008 R2.
Comes in a portable edition
This is a portable program. You can store it on pen drives to have it with you all the time. In addition, you may run it without administrative privileges. You only need to open the executable file in order to gain access to the tool’s features because there’s no setup included in the process.
Command-prompt GUI
Biosversion can be controlled only via the command-line console. Although this aspect may scare off less experienced users, this is really not the case with this particular application because it offers you guidance throughout the entire configuration process.
The program simply lists all available information modules about your system and gives you the possibility to activate one with ease.
Get info about your system
Biosversion allows you to check out details about BIOS, such as version, board, identifier, manufacturer, vendor, model, current language, serial, SMBIOS version, and status.
When it comes to system information, you can view data about username, certificate, product key, product ID, build ID, edition, platform, CPU, CPU cores, total and available memory, OS drive, current drive, boot drive, system rating, and status.
License details are also displayed and include info about the architecture, name, and description. Biosversion allows you to save the information about certificates, product keys, and BIOS to plain text files. The TXT items are automatically created and stored in the same location where the application is kept.
Bottom line
All things considered, Biosversion delivers a straightforward software solution for helping you get BIOS and system information on the fly without performing any special tweaks, and can be configured by rookies and professionals alike.
