BlackBerry Media Sync

BlackBerry Media Sync is dedicated to helping BlackBerry owners manage the multimedia content on their handset from the PC and perform file synchronizations between the two.
Now part of the BlackBerry Desktop Software, the application was offered to the public as a standalone application as well, compatible with Blackberry 4.2 or later. It can prove useful for syncing iTunes playlists, podcasts, image and audio collections.
The application provides support for common media file types, both audio (MP3, WAV, WMA, M4A, AAC) and graphic (JPG, PNG, BMP, GIF), with the exception of tracks that contain DRM data.
Once the smartphone is connected to the PC, it is automatically detected by the program. You can then assign it a custom name, choose the storage target (device memory or a media card), configure a minimum amount of memory to keep free during the sync procedure and select the music application (iTunes or Windows Media Player).
In order to run sync tasks, BlackBerry Media Sync requires your phone to have the mass storage mode activated. The application is capable of copying playlists on the handset or choose music files randomly and send them to the device, the only limit being the storage capacity.
Additionally, you can use it to import album art links, copy photos on the smartphone to the computer for backup purposes or import pictures from the PC to the Blackberry, with further options for automatically optimizing images to save storage space.
