BlaSOFT DHCP Server is a free DHCP server (DHCPv4, to be specific) that performs automatic assignment of network configuration (i.e. IP address, subnet mask, DNS addresses) to computers connecting to network. First of all, it has to be mentioned that this program wasnt intended to be an advanced server application which works in complex corporate networks. BlaSOFT DHCP Server was designed to be lightweight, simple and easily configurable. It is intended to be used in home or small office networks. Main features: graphical user interface, dynamic assignment of IP addresses from the given pool, very easily configurable (subnet mask, default gateway address, two DNS addresses, address lease duration), static assignment of IP addressess based on client MAC addresses, event logging capability (writing to a text file), detailed configuration of event types to be logged, configuration through GUI or by manual modification of the configuration file, capability of sending any DHCP options to client devices, special GUI windows for watching assigned IP addresses and events log in real time, minimizing to system tray (optional), tray icon indicating server state (active/inactive)
