Bluescreen Screensaver Description
The thing that Windows users fear most is the famous Blue Screen. Bluescreen Screensaver is a small utility that simulates this feared error message.
The app has a simple interface and can be handled easily, regardless if you have any previous experience with similar apps.
Also known as the “Blue Screen of Deathâ€, this error message is displayed whenever there are critical system errors. It can be caused by hardware inconsistencies, but also some software issues.
Since the way it looks varies in every operating system version, the screensaver emulates the one specific for the type of Windows you’re running, whether it’s 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000 or XP.
As mentioned, the app installs as a screensaver and can be accessed through the Windows Screen Saver settings menu. Here, you can preview the app after selecting it from the drop-down list.
Furthermore, you may modify the number of minutes it is required for the computer to remain idle before the screen saver covers the desktop. Additionally, you may have the system display a logon screen on resume.
The app has no additional settings, so the options made available by the operating system are the only ones you may modify.
The bottom line is that Bluescreen Screensaver is a nice app that might give you a scare every time it pops up, before you remember that there’s no cause to panic. Inexperienced users should find the app easy to install and work with, mostly thanks to the absence of any advanced settings.
