Bookbinder Portable

Bookbinder Portable is a software tool developed in Java so as to help you create books which can be bound, from PDF files.
This is the portable counterpart of Bookbinder, which means you can bypass the installation process and just copy the program files to any location on the HDD and click the executable to run it.
Moreover, by dropping the last mentioned items to a portable storage unit, you can use Bookbinder Portable on any computer you can connect to. The Windows registry is not going to suffer any changes, and there will be no leftover files upon its removal.
The main window is plain and it contains all the options you will need in order to create a book ready to be bound. In addition to that, you can use it with great ease, regardless of your previous experience with computers.
After you upload a PDF from your hard drive, you can start tweaking the available options. To be more exact, you can select the paper size (from A0 to A9, B9 and executive), printer type (single sided or duplex) and book size (standard paperback, large format, full paper or custom).
Pages can be stretched to fit the aforementioned configuration, or you can keep the proportions. It is also possible add flyleaf (a blank page at the front or back of a book) and choose the signature format (booklet, perfect bound, standard or custom).
Once all of these parameters have been set up, the total number of pages, sheets and signatures is calculated, and you can generate the document.
Although a very simple piece of software, Bookbinder Portable proves to be efficient through a user-friendly interface, a good response time and many custom options.
