Booker Description
With the help of Booker you can easily create and manage a book collection in a user-friendly environment. This application comes packed with standard and advanced settings alike, such as data backup and restoration.
Simple setup and UI
After a swift and easy setup operation, Booker brings up a large panel with a classical structure. It doesn't put emphasis on looks but it's quite simple to navigate.
Create, manage and secure book entries
Booker loads a table and lets you fill it with book entries by writing the code, title, series, number of volumes, author, type, publisher, year, language, and ISBN. It's possible to create as many book entries as you want, and to sort them by any of the previously mentioned criteria.
It's possible to export tables to files and import them later, encrypt and decrypt the database, create backups and restore data, as well as to search any cell for records matching or containing a given keyword (case sensitive is supported). What's more, you can install and view scripts, as well as connect with an online server. The status bar counts all written book entries.
Evaluation and conclusion
The software utility used a low amount of CPU and RAM during our evaluation, so it didn't hamper system performance. On the other hand, it prompted several error dialogs while we attempted to access some of its settings. Nevertheless, you can test it for yourself to find out if it meets your requirements when it comes to creating and managing a book collection.
