Boot Chart for Windows Description
Boot Chart for Windows is a lightweight system tool that was designed to help administrators and tech support personnel with viewing and exporting information which is contained inside Windows Event Trace Logs.
Straightforward interface
Boot Chart for Windows requires no installation for it to properly work. All you have to do is run it, load the appropriate .etl file and it will do the job. It’s a very simple solution that allows system boot information to be accessed by anyone.
When you open Boot Chart for Windows, it displays a user-friendly interface in the form of a simple window from where you can browse for the file and view the log. The application doesn’t support drag and drop so you have to manually locate the log file using the classic Windows explorer.
View a graphical representation of the boot process
After you load the correct .etl. file, Boot Chart for Windows displays a boot diagram with information such as CPU speed, the version of the operating system, as well as boot start and end times.
Along with text information, Boot Chart for Windows also generates a chart which highlights the entire boot sequence and provides an accurate, by the second, measurement for each step.
The chart which the application generates can end up being very large in size and apart from being able to explore it by scrolling on both axes in the preview window, Boot Chart for Windows enables you to export the chart as a .png image, allowing you to see the big picture.
Export Event Trace Log information
To sum things up, as long as you have the right kind of .etl file, opening and exporting its content is a cinch with Event Trace Logs.
