Brontok Removal Tool

Brontok Removal Tool is a tiny and portable application that detects and removes the Win32.Brontok.A@mm worm from your computer.
It does not come equipped with a configuration set, so less experienced users can quickly figure it out.
Since installation is not prerequisite, you can drop the executable file anywhere on the HDD and click it to run. It is also possible to save it to a USB flash drive or similar device, in order to run it on any infected or suspicious workstation without prior installers.
An important aspect to take into consideration is that the tool does not add new entries to the Windows registry or Start menu.
The interface is made from a regular window with a plain and simple layout, where you can initialize the scanning procedure with the click of a button. Brontok Removal Tool checks processes, memory modules, startup executed files, and services for the worm, and removes it on sight. It is also possible to point out a custom drive or directory for scanning (e.g. infected pen drive).
The application carries out a scan job quickly and has minimal impact on system performance. It is very responsive to commands and doesn't cause the operating system to hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. Unfortunately, Brontok Removal Tool has not been updated for a very long time.
